ReformTech receives a grant of 4.99 million SEK from VINNOVA

Stockholm, Sweden, November 1st, 2013 – ReformTech Heating Technologies AB has received a grant of 4.99 million SEK grant from VINNOVA to develop environmentally friendly catalytic heaters that provides significantly lower amounts of nitrogen oxides, particulates and carbon monoxide while increasing efficiency and emissions of carbon dioxide for use in New Energy Vehicles for the Chinese market.

The grant is for a joint R&D-project to develop an environmental friendly clean and catalytic heater for compartment heating, engine pre-heating and battery pre-heating in trucks and passenger cars for the Chinese market. The project is conducted in close cooperation with FAW-Qiming, GreenTech Changchun Co. Ltd., the Royal Institute of Technology and Jilin University.

- It is very gratifying to get the grant from VINNOVA and the close cooperation with the Chinese customers. The grant will help us to further expand and customize our technology platform together with some key customers in China and build a platform for expansion in China. It will also enable us to recruit more personnel and to increase the rate of our expansion. The worldwide market interest for our technology and products is rapidly increasing and the grant help us to actively participate in the on-going industry shift towards more environmental friendly vehicles, says Daniel Hagström, CEO ReformTech.

 The heater’s catalytic combustion yields significantly lower emissions (nitrogen oxides, particulates and carbon monoxide) while increasing efficiency and emissions of carbon dioxide, and is compatible with CO2-neutral fuels (bio-diesel, ethanol, methanol etc.). The project will develop and test a clean heater integrated with a full thermal system for an electrical/hybrid vehicle, to fulfill customer demands for the vehicle market, and establishes strategically important cooperation to customers, production partners and aftermarket partners.

ReformTech and Hörmann Automotive group have signed a partnership agreement to industrialize and produce ReformTech products at Hörmann’s factory in Wackersdorf.

ReformTech and Hörmann have signed an agreement to start a partnership in order to industrialize ReformTech’s product line for clean and catalytic heater products, solutions and knowledge and bringing these to the markets in Germany and Europe by bringing together Hörmann’s capabilities and knowledge regarding volume manufacturing and logistics, and position on the German market and ReformTech’s capabilities with respect to know-how, design, engineering and management. ReformTech closing an investment round of 30 million SEK

Stockholm, Sweden, May 27, 2013ReformTech Heating Technologies today announced that the Company successfully raised SEK 30 M from a group of leading Swedish investors. ReformTech – a worldwide leader in developing clean and catalytic heating, based on a proprietary catalytic fuel processing and reactor technology.

The investment has been led by Palmstierna Invest, and includes investments from Peter Lindell, Patrik Brummer, Carl Palmstierna, Lars Thunell, Johan Wachmeister, Göran Nyström, Sigbjörn Olsson, Frans Wehtje, Lars Westerberg and Christer Palm.

With this investment ReformTech will have a new board of directors and the new board will consist of Christer Palm, Lars Westerberg, Carl Palmstierna, Magnus Ericsson and Bård Lindström. Christer Palm will become the new chairman of the board.
